Activity 2 "Weather in the class"

This activity is based on obtaining the `temperature´ of the students. With the use of a calendar the students will be able to place a sticker, which signifies their mood, on the appropriate day. In order to prompt the class the words ´How Do You Feel Today?´will be present above the calendar. At the end of each week, the children will count how many stickers there are. With this information we will be able to recognize the average ´temperature´ of the class.  For example, one would calculate the data retrieved by using the formula; happy face +10, sad face -10, excited face +20 and angry face -20. The forms of emotions will be introduced to the class on the first day by the teacher including the vocabulary. The students will be required to repeat the vocabulary several times to ensure the students´ knowledge is at the required level.

We have created this activity due to the diversity of the classroom. Every one of the students will be able to participate, regardless of their disability. This activity promotes individuality throughout the students which will help them with their confidence in the class. The students will learn to share their emotions with their fellow students as they begin to express themselves more.
